Feline Leukemia (FeLV)

FeLV is a viral disease of cats that affects blood producing tissues. FeLV suppresses the cat¡¦s immune system, leaving it unable to fight off other infections, such as pneumonia. FeLV can also cause cancer in a small proportion of cats. This is a fatal and highly contagious disease with the virus being transmitted through body fluids.

An effective vaccine can be administered for this disease and booster shots are required annually.
